About Gregory F. Jackson

Well hello there! My name is Gregory F. Jackson. I'm a sassy theatre writer/performer/stage manager/scenic painter/jack of all trades/general know it all. I grew up in Nashville, TN but I don't have a strong southern accent... unless I've had a few drinks. I studied Theatre and Gender Studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and went on to study Writing For The Musical Theatre at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. I am incredibly passionate about theatre, fine arts, fine wine, and strong coffee. You can usually find me sprinting between two subway cars inevitably running late from one appointment to the next. My short-form projects include Whatever The Weather (book/lyrics) with composer Kent Kim, and Works In Progress a collection of short plays and monologues, created in collaboration with Director, Rebecca Rouse. Full-length projects include After
You (book/lyrics) with composer Spencer Robelen, and Naught (book/lyrics) with composer Andrew Drannon and co-bookwriter & lyricist Mika Kauffman. I am currently working on several projects including a song cycle entitled Boys You Shouldn't Kiss.
